New jazz singing sensation Madeleine Peyroux has been compared, according to the first line in her Wikipedia entry, to Billie Holiday. No shit. She sounds like all the European jazz singer who feels obliged to do a Louis Armstrong impersonation. Her sound’s resemblance to Holiday isn’t notable; it’s blatant.
