Montana Rastas

There’s no particularly good reason why a group of friends of mine from the early 1980s in Missoula Montana decided to call ourselves the Rastas. I vaguely recall someone printed “Team Rasta” on a t-shirt or maybe a flag they raised on a raft they sailed down a river. Whatever. Somewhere along the line it stuck.

In the last several years, this gang of 40-somethings have reconnected and three times in the past four years have made the effort to reunite in person. They’re all beautiful people. I love them all!

Boldog Sz?let?s Napot, Drága Adikám!

We had a great party last night for Adi’s last gasp of youth, along with Dean and Miki’s birthdays (Dean born also the same year). Everything was just right: good friends, plenty to eat and drink, a cool summer breeze on our charming terrace, good music. The last of them left around 3am, late enough to feel like a real party, but not so late that we had to throw them out (though I remember Adi burning cat hair in the candles around that time, which we took as a sign that the party was over). Thanks to all who came. We only forgot to take pictures.
